While we may be only 10 days away from a war in Iraq, local issues always seem to take priority. Currently in the southeastern U.S., gasoline prices are least expensive in Atlanta metro...lowest quotes around 1.40(USD) per gallon. Quite an increase, since 6 months ago prices were as low as 0.99(USD) per gallon. Consider how that hits you in the wallet...everything from air travel, automobile, delivered goods (i.e.: groceries, clothing), to utilities, and so on.

While you are worried about being stuck in traffic, consider the troops stuck on ships awaiting authorization from Turkey/others to off-load.
